West Lancashire Mayoress Sue Murrin Bailey Burns Night charity fundraiser for Community Heartbeat, which purchases lifesaving Defibrillators for use particularly in rural areas by West Lancashire Community First Responders.

The Burns Night celebration was well attended by locals supporting the fundraising efforts of the Mayoress and her charity committee. The evening was a light hearted affair, with liver music, bagpipes and Haggis.

Burscough Methodist Players will be all at sea and in the desert on camels chased by pirates on magic flying carpets, flown by two surfing Aussies trying to escape from the baddies, when they present there panto: The Adventures of Sinbad.
Tickets are now on sale for two weekends of performances from 26 Jan - 28 Jan and 2 Feb - 4 Feb; evenings are at 7.30 and Saturday matinees at 2.30 all at the church hall on Orrell Lane.

Photos & Video of Ormskirk Rotary Club 75th Anniversary of Charter Night
Ormskirk Rotary Club celebrated their 75th Anniversary of Charter Night with a celebration dinner at the Old Printworks Restaurant on Friday 20th January.
Representatives from many local Rotary and Roundtable Clubs joined in with the celebrations. Among the invited guests was the Venerable Bob Metcalf, Archdeacon Emeritus of Liverpool Anglican Cathedral, who gave the keynote speech.
In addition, West Lancs Mayor Rob Bailey and Mayoress Sue Murrin Bailey were at the dinner to congratulate the Rotarians on their local charity fundraising. It was reported that the Christmas float had raised a huge £6,800, a record amount, all of which is to be donated to local charitable causes.
