News from Ormskirk Tennis Club

Recent developments at Ormskirk Tennis Club mean that 2012 is set to be an exciting season. The Club has invested over £120,000 in replacing its shale tennis courts with artificial clay, some of the first in the region, in addition to installing new viewing areas and replacing the perimeter fencing.
The investment means that the Ormskirk tennis Club can offer its existing, and potentially new members, a state-of-the-art facility at which they can enjoy a comprehensive tennis programme; incorporating social, match play and coaching opportunities all year round.

The Club has a strong family ethos and values all of its members irrespective of their age or ability, something which its mission statement reflects -  Ormskirk Tennis Club strives to offer a quality tennis experience in a family friendly environment whilst providing support to each member to assist them in fulfilling their tennis ambitions.

Grand Opening of Courts - Saturday 7th April - 11am onwards - All welcome!

The junior programme continues to grow with mini tennis coaching available all year round for 4 – 10 years and junior coaching for 11 – 16 years.  Holiday clubs for members and non members will be available during school holidays, with the first one being held over Easter from Monday 9th April to Friday 13th April inclusive.  The camp will be held at Ormskirk Tennis Club from 1pm to 4pm and, as a special start of season offer, will cost £40 per person for the week or £10 per day.  To register your child/children for the camp please email their name, date of birth and a contact telephone number to coach@ormskirktennis.co.uk

2012 has also seen the Club forge a strong partnership with the West Lancs. School Sport Partnership, which will result in the majority of local primary and secondary schools receiving FREE tennis coaching to encourage children to take up the sport and become more active.
